Membership renewal and new applications now open for 2022
Dear Member,
As the winter months come to an end, we hope you are looking forward to getting on court and playing tennis, hopefully under warmer skies.
It’s also that time when we have to ask for your 2022 subscription. It is never a great time to pay membership fees but a subscription at Chorley Tennis Club gives a year’s all-weather tennis which at our extended reduced rates continues to be of tremendous value.
Remember, if it’s a stretch, you can spread the cost with six monthly instalments. And the relatively small dent in your bank account will be long forgotten when you’re belting the ball around in the summer sunshine.
As you’ll know, we’re a not-for-profit club supporting the local community which is encouraging adults and budding juniors of all abilities to play tennis. This means that we rely on your continued support to make ends meet and we really value your membership.
We’ve continued to invest a lot of money into our facilities in recent years and we are about to have another three courts professionally cleaned, treated and repainted. We hope you’re still happy with our facilities but we’re always looking at further improvements we can make.
These improvements don’t come cheap and costs have increased sharply recently - the cleaning and painting of the three courts alone will be just around £6,000. Our other major expenses also come at the start of the tennis year so it’s really important that we get your membership fee early on. Nevertheless, we continue to work hard to manage costs.
Your membership fees are due by 1st April and we have decided to offer reduced rates again in 2022 compared to our pre-Covid rates. You can pay directly into the club’s bank account, by cheque or by standing order. To make life easier, we’ve set up an online membership renewal/application link but you can still fill out the attached form if you find this simpler for you.
The online membership renewal/application link is here: Chorley Tennis Club - Online Membership Form
We do expect a full season of competitive league tennis, club tournaments and social tennis in 2022 and it’s important to note that you can play in the Bolton and Ribble leagues whenever the matches start ONLY IF you’ve paid your membership fees beforehand.
Thanks again for your support and let’s hope for great weather and an enjoyable 2022 tennis season.
